Grand Prix set to heat up Singapore

Start your engines as the Grand Prix Season Singapore (GPSS) 2016 is preparing to set hearts racing with innovative and dynamic lifestyle events and promotions in Singapore this September.

From 9 to 18 September 2016, the GPSS will feature a slate of lifestyle events, activities and promotions in various precincts in Singapore for all to enjoy.

Singapore Tourism Board, Director, Sports, Ms Jean Ng said “We are pleased to present Grand Prix Season Singapore as the unique complement once again to the 2016 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX. As this is the 9th year for both the race and season, we are looking to push the envelope in adrenaline-fuelled fun with more than 100 lifestyle events and promotions from new and existing industry stakeholders.”

Start the season with Ultra Singapore, Party at Amber Lounge, The Podium Sky Lounge, Sky Grande Prix and Hôtel Vagabond for those seeking entertainment at dusk. Arts, culture and heritage aficionados can look forward to the Singapore Arts Circuit 2016, Singapore International Festival of Arts, 5th Singapore International Photography Festival along with current events held at museums and attractions such as Asian Civilisations Museum, Peranakan Museum, National Gallery Singapore and Gardens by The Bay. Avid foodies will be spoilt for choice at Savour Wines and dining offerings and discounts at Clarke Quay and Chijmes. Retail discounts will also be available at participating stores.

Splash & Dash Pool Party – W Singapore – Sentosa Cove

When the engines aren’t roaring you’ll hear incredible beats at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove’s race weekend pool party that will be taking place on 17th September, 2016 from 2pm-8pm. International DJ Producer from Scotland and Ibizia clubbing guide award winner, Marko Liv will revving up the heat with electrifying beats. Splash & Dash, the ultimate pool party will be held at the hotel’s happening WET Deck and is the party you must be at to see and be seen.

GPSS 2016’s collection of lifestyle events complements the 2016 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix, which remains the only night street race in the global FORMULA 1 circuit.

Ticket holders can look forward to in-circuit concert headliners such as Imagine Dragons, Queen + Adam Lambert and Kylie Minogue together with fringe acts and performances.
