Pullman Sydney Penrith ties up with Trilogy Hotels, announces new GM

Trilogy Hotels and Panthers Group have signed a milestone agreement that will see Trilogy Hotels oversee operations of the five-star Pullman Sydney Penrith.

Part of a $110m investment from Panthers Group, the 153-room hotel opened in August last year and is the first five-star offering in Penrith.

Trilogy Hotels is a new name in the hotel game launched in 2023 by three of Australia’s top hospitality investors that gives hotels an independent management model to hotel operations. Trilogy now operates nearly 1,200 rooms across five hotels and is one of the fastest-growing models in the industry.

Trilogy Hotels CEO Scott Boyes said he is honoured to be working with Panthers group which he describes as “a legacy and visionary asset in the biggest growth area of Australia”.

“Together, we look forward to showcasing the very best of the West, adding value to our community and delivering an outstanding product and precinct for members, guests and delegates,” he said.

“It’s great to once again work with our partners Accor. The hotel will continue to utilise their [sic] exceptional distribution capability, marketing and loyalty programs, and the iconic global presence of the Pullman brand.”

Michael Thomas named GM

Pullman Sydney Penrith has also announced Michael Thomas as the new GM for both the hotel and the adjoining Western Sydney Conference Centre (WSSC).

Thomas joins with over 35 years’ experience in the industry at some of the most prestigious offerings around the world such as Banyan Tree, Shangri La and the Hilton.

“I am delighted to have relocated to the vibrant Western Sydney region to oversee the Pullman Sydney Penrith and WSSC,” Thomas said.

“Leveraging my extensive experience in luxury hotels both internationally and in Australia, I’m eager to help further drive the development of these properties, while positively impacting and enhancing the local community.”
