CT Partners appoint new Director

The Board of Directors CT Partners Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Tass Messinis Managing director of BCD Travel as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

The announcement comes following CT Partners annual general meeting held in Bangkok as part of its 2017 Annual Conference where members reviewed the company’s financial report for the year ended 30 June 2017, elected directors for 2018 and approved payment of a dividend.

Mr Messinis joins a board members comprising of:

  • Alan Wolf – Bay Travel Group
  • Barry Mayo – TravelManagers Australia
  • Gary Reichenberg – Executive Edge Travel
  • Grant Wilson – TravelEdge Group

Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain Appoints New General Manager

Royal Rowe has been appointed General Manager at Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain, which is located at the gateway to China’’s majestic Qing Cheng Mountain.

Royal grew up in Virginia and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Industrial Psychology from Radford University. After completing his education in 1979, he joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Royal held various managerial positions in the food and beverage and human resources departments at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC, Four Seasons Hotel Houston and Four Seasons Hotel Austin, Texas.

Island Air names Steven Longdon Director of Flight Operations

Island Air has promoted Capt. Steven Longdon to director of flight operations. Longdon, who has 18 years of experience in the aviation industry, joined Island Air in November 2016 as a captain. He was among the airline’s pilots who trained on and operated Island Air’s new fleet of DHC 8 Q400 aircraft.

“Steven has quickly proven that he has the experience and leadership skills to successfully manage our flight operations and help Island Air continue to grow and expand,” said David Uchiyama, president and CEO of Island Air. “He will play an integral role in the operation of our airline working closely with the pilots and managers to ensure that we maintain the highest level of safety for our customers.”

As director of flight operations Longdon will oversee the safe and effective execution of flight operations for the airline. This includes providing strategic and tactical direction for operational leadership, mentoring and training pilots, and reviewing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures.

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group taps Gary Ye for Vice President of Operations in China

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Gary Ye as vice president, Operations, China. Gary will join the company on December 18 and report directly to Katerina Giannouka, incoming president, Asia Pacific. He will also be a member of the Asia Pacific Executive Committee.

Based in the company’s Shanghai office, Gary will be responsible for spearheading the company’s hotel portfolio in China. Among his varied responsibilities – driving operational excellence to raise guest satisfaction levels and brand compliance, developing and implementing key strategies and services to elevate owner, employees and guest engagement and leading commercial resources to drive revenue and profitability.

“Gary’s vast experience in operations, marketing and quality assurance will play an integral role in continuing to strengthen and build our capabilities enabling us to further drive our growth strategy in China. As the company accelerates our China portfolio growth, we are confident that he will be a great asset to our overall leadership team with his profound knowledge of the China market,” said Robert Chessen, interim president, Asia Pacific.
