Contours Travel offers huge agent commissions on a rare South American itinerary

Contours Travel, will next year run a rare tour of Guyana and neighbouring French Guiana and Suriname, offering a whopping 12 per cent commission for agents who book now.

The Incan ruins of Machu Picchu receive more visitors in one day than the whole South American country of Guyana does in one year.

To help more Australians discover the secret gems of Guyana and neighbouring French Guiana and Suriname Contours Travel, will next year run an Australian group tour to the three destinations collectively known as ‘The Three Guianas’.

The 20-day, fully escorted trip to this remote corner of the globe on South America’s east coast in October 2024, guiding travellers through the lush Amazon jungle.

Contour Travel’s unique Three Guianas adventure, escorted by a Contours Travel tour leader, begins in Panama City on October 18, 2024, with two nights in the city including a city tour and cruise on the country’s world-changing canal.

Guests then fly to Guyana for a week-long exploration of this mysterious, culture and nature-filled country, including a visit to 226m-high Kaieteur Falls, a natural wonder in the Amazon rainforest five times the height of Niagara Falls.

Guests will stay at three ecolodges in Guyana where they will meet authentic, indigenous communities, feast on local cuisine and join guided jungle hikes to spot jaguars, howler monkeys, giant river otters, toucans and tapirs.

The tour then moves to French Guiana where sights include remote Devil’s Island, a notorious and brutal French jail made famous by the book and movie, Papillon.

In neighbouring Suriname, guests will float through the vast Amazon jungle on dugout canoe for a stay at a wilderness lodge to search for wildlife, meet traditional villagers and watch cultural dances.

The final night of the tour is spent back in Panama City.

Including accommodation, 41 meals, five flights in the region and daily sightseeing and adventures, the 19-night Three Guianas tour is available from US$13,949 (AUD $20,842) per person, twin-share, departing October 18, 2024.
