Castille Paris – Starhotels Collezione presents the ultimate Grand Tour Suite, a homage to the sophistication and enchantment of the European Grand Tour.

Designed by the Marie Martin studio and inspired by the flair of a vibrant abundance of details, the new signature suite exudes a positive vibe, enveloping the guest in a unique and once-in-a-lifetime universe of decoration galore.

The Grand Tour Suite is located on the first floor of the hotel and boasts high ceilings and tall windows. A quiet ambiance overlooking the inner courtyard, it is more than just a space — it’s a destination where luxury meets comfort with an eclectic and inimitable style, in a perfect balance between antiquity and contemporaneity for an unforgettable experience.

The suite has been designed as a perfect puzzle: everything is custom made, every piece has been chosen and arranged carefully.

Sensual/seductive and lavish in design, with fine fabrics such as velvet and gold brocade melded with a fusion of hip and classic antiques, the Grand Tour Suite has been reinvented with timeless furnishings throughout delicately blending modern luxuries with the charm of the property.

A vibrant palette recreates an ambience of grandeur and authentic luxury. The predominant color is terracotta orange: part of the Marie Martin studio’s philosophy, indeed, is opting for warm and vivid colors, never boring and rather surprising.

The restyling was inspired by opulence and extravaganza of the nineteenth-century Grand Tour, the golden age of travel, which at the time brought to this place cultured travelers and beauty lovers.

Rue Cambon has always been famous because of its frequentation, a magical place where writers, fashion designers and travellers found their inspiration.

Among them, La comtesse de Castiglione (1837-1899) notably famous for having been the lover of Napoleon III and for her incomparable beauty, moved to a small apartment at 14, Rue Cambon in 1894.

Then of course came Coco Chanel, who lived in Rue Cambon and in 1921 opened her first atelier next to the Castille.

The Castille has its roots in the 1860s when it was inhabited by Baron Le Pin Henry Léonard. In more recent times, at the beginning of the 20th century, the owner, heir of a Spanish noble family, named the hotel “Castille” in homage to its origins and commissioned a fresco representing the conquest of the New World by the Spaniards in the inner courtyard, that today hosts the hotel’s patio restaurant.

Nowadays, the Castille, part of Starhotels Collezione, offers warm and relaxed Italian atmosphere in a Parisian home in the very heart of the city, a few steps from Place Vendôme and the most exclusive boutiques in the world.
