Amadeus finalises Jet Asia Suite

Amadeus and Jet Asia Airways announced today that it has successfully wrapped up the implementation of the full Amadeus Altéa Suite.

The project has been the fastest Amadeus migration to date for a carrier in Asia Pacific, spanning only 3 months.

The Amadeus Altéa Suite, used by more than 120 airlines globally, is a complete Passenger Service System that offers full reservation, inventory and departure control capabilities.

The implementation of the Altéa Suite will be key to Jet Asia Airways’ ongoing expansion programme, which includes the launch of a new network of scheduled passenger services that connect Thailand with North Asia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

In particular, the Altéa Suite broadens Jet Asia Airways’ distribution channels, enabling the airline to enter new international markets and customer segments, such as online sales and bookings via travel agencies.

Amadeus’ technology will additionally enable the airline to operate its new scheduled network, while still providing flexibility for it to also support its charter operations.

Jet Asia Airways’ president Jacob Saba said they are happy to hit this critical milestone.

“As we continue to evolve our business model, having the right technology partner is key to ensuring that we are set up for success. With Amadeus’ strong track record working with airlines in Asia Pacific, we are excited to have partnered with them to drive our business forward,” he said.

“As a small but fast growing airline, we were delighted at the speed and agility extended by the Amadeus implementation team to enable us to implement their leading edge technology in a record timeframe. The Altéa system will be central to Jet Asia’s future growth and success.”

Amadeus Asia Pacific’s VP of airline commercial Hazem Hussein added that the implementation is just the beginning of their journey with Jet Asia Airways.

We are committed to providing our expertise to support their goals in delivering their vision and strategy for the future, and are confident that our next-generation technology will deliver the flexibility, responsiveness and scalability required for success,” Hussein said.
