Tourism New Zealand has launched a new program to attract higher value Chinese visitors. Under the Premier Kiwi Partnership program, the tourism body will work with 12 inbound operators and 18 China-based retailers to develop and market "longer-stay, higher-quality" holiday packages.

 

Excite Holidays has added the slogan ‘Exclusively Yours' to its brand, saying it wants to "clearly communicate" its dedication to the trade.

 

Delta Air Lines will add 1400 additional weekly seats between New York and Dublin between June 18 and August 29.

 

Marriott International has grown its presence in China to 62 hotels with the opening of the 323-room Shanghai Marriott Hotel Pudong East. It is the group's 20th property in Shanghai and the 14th Marriott branded hotel in the country.

 

China Southern will increase its Guangzhou-Vancouver service from three times weekly to daily from June 17.

 

Thai Airways will grow frequencies between Bangkok and Copenhagen from daily to nine times weekly from March 31. In addition, its Bangkok-Johannesburg and Bangkok-Madrid services will rise from three to four times weekly. On its Bangkok-Stockholm route, it will replace Boeing 747-400 aircraft with new two-class Boeing 777-300ER from July 16.
