Jones takes new role at Travel Today
By admin

Travel Today editor Steve Jones is to step down after seven years in the role, with reporter Anne Majumdar promoted to the newly created position of online editor.

Jones, the launch editor of Travel Today after relocating from London in 2006, will hand day to day responsibility to Majumdar with immediate effect.

But he will remain an integral part of Travel Today in another newly created position of editor at large.

In the new role Jones will continue to provide news stories on a regular basis as well as offer comment and opinion on key industry issues.

"Producing, writing and editing Travel Today has been a lot of fun, but after seven years it was time for a change," he said. “I leave the publication in the capable hands of Anne Majumdar but I will continue to be heavily involved in providing content for Travel Today.”

Travel Today and Travel Weekly publisher, Daniel Uglow, said: “Steve will be writing on a daily basis for Travel Today with a remit to increase the amount of opinion pieces and in depth news stories in the publication."

Jones can be contacted on 0424 612843 and emailed at stevepjones100@hotmail.com and at stephen.jones@cirrusmedia.com.au.
