Viva Holidays presented the best of Canada last week alongside Destination Canada through a series of roadshows held on the east coast of Australia.

The event which promoted a wide range of travel options including FIT, touring, group cruises and rail travel was attended by many Canada Tourism representatives and suppliers as well as a range of industry professionals from the local area.

Melbourne’s event took place at the Crown Conference Centre while Brisbane’s event took place at Blackbird Bar, Dining & Events and Sydney’s night was held at the Intercontinental.

“Viva Holidays along with Destination Canada are proud to have delivered the Canada Roadshow, with over 400 travel agents attending across the three events,” GM sales, Viva Holidays, Steve Brady, said.

“Viva Holidays has always played a key role in upskilling agents and adding value to our agency relationships.

“Along with our comprehensive brochure range, trade and consumer marketing activity and sales tools for agents, events like these help ensure agents are equipped to sell Canada and deliver exceptional holidays for their clients.”

The roadshows provided those in attendance with the opportunity to listen in to panel discussions featuring Yas Yamamoto from Tourism Yukon, Joanne Motta of Tourism BC and Melanie Swenarchuk from Travel Manitoba to name a few.

Off the back of this fabulous roadshow, Viva Holidays is now pushing a 4-week Destination Canada Campaign to drive enquiry into agents who are all up to date on all things Canada!

Julie King, Managing Director, Destination Canada Australia, says the collaborative roadshow fulfilled the vital role of providing the Australian travel industry with first-hand knowledge of Canada’s future tourism direction and new products.

“We know that Australians are no longer willing to put off travelling to bucket-list destinations, and Canada’s open spaces, open minds and open hearts beckon to those seeking meaningful travel experiences,” King, said.

“The roadshow was a powerful way to reach Australian travel industry members with inspiring information about Canada’s regenerative tourism experiences, from wildlife adventures to culinary and Indigenous immersions.”
