A&K announces new Japan range and DMC openings

As demand surges, Abercrombie & Kent have been working with their office in Tokyo, to bring guests more Japanese experiences just in time for Japan’s long-awaited easing of restrictions.

The portfolio features four tailor-made journeys, an intimate luxury small group journey and a cherry blossom luxury expedition cruise, with two new journeys: art & culture in Japan, and winter in Hokkaido.

New DMC openings

A&K has announced the opening of four new destination management companies (DMCs) – with openings in Colombia, Namibia, Saudi Arabia, and Canada.

A&K now has over 55 offices in more than 30 countries, making it the world’s largest network of luxury DMCs. Headquartered in London, the company celebrates its 60th birthday this year since its founding by Geoffrey Kent and his parents in Kenya as a luxury safari outfitter.

“Luxury travel is rebounding at an incredible rate, and we’re ready to serve the demand,” Martin Froggatt, executive vice president of destination management said.

“A&K’s global experience, offering unparalleled consistency, insider access and financial resilience makes our growth trajectory huge. Listening to our partners, we know the demand for A&K to open more DMCs is firmly there.”

Other recent DMC openings from A&K include the USA. The company has longstanding offices worldwide, including Kenya, Egypt, Thailand, Brazil and beyond, with operations on all seven continents and a staff of almost 2,500. The company operates three outbound tour operating businesses in Australasia, Europe, and North America.
