G Adventures relaunches more than 1,000 departures for June
G Adventures has announced its relaunch list for June 2022 and – for the first time since the pandemic – more than 1,000 departures are on the list.
This represents a return to 50 per cent capacity when compared to 2019, which is the highest number of trips operating since the pandemic was declared.
With so many trips on offer, the adventure operator is encouraging agents and industry members to take advantage of its agent and industry discount policy to receive up to 50 per cent off one of these trips.
The June departures list sees the return of Borneo, Canada, Cuba and Madagascar for the first time in two years, as well as the reopening of the Thailand Hilltribes trekking route, and restart of the popular Mont Blanc hiking season.
These destinations join new arrivals for the current month of May, which features more than 800 departures and sees more favourites return in Asia.
Trips start up again in Vietnam, Indonesia and South Korea, and Eastern Europe and the ‘Stans are also back, giving people plenty of options to get away from the mainstream travel crowds this winter.
Sean Martin, managing director for G Adventures’ APAC, said it’s vital for agents to get back out in the world and this winter is the perfect time for them to plan an escape at a fraction of the retail cost.
“As the travel industry recovers it’s up to us to be the shining light and to lead by example,” Martin said.
“We’ve all missed travelling, and we’ve all earned ourselves a holiday having helped so many customers rebook their adventures over the past two years.
“By choosing to book with G Adventures, our travel community is also demonstrating there is a better way to travel – to go beyond the typical travel destinations and make a difference by ensuring their money supports local people.
“As important as it is to build our own businesses back, there are many local people in the places we visit who benefit economically when tourism is done right, and we want to help support them.”
Preferred partner travel agents with G Adventures receive up to 50 per cent discount for themselves, and a 25 per cent discount for up to three travelling companions. All other agency partners receive up to 30 per cent off, with up to 15 per cent off for their fellow adventurers.
Members of the wider travel industry community are also eligible for up to 15 per cent off G Adventures portfolio of tours upon presentation of an IATA or other travel industry ID.
Some of the amazing trips on offer this winter include:
- A five-day Northern Hilltribes Trek travelling from Chiang Mai return is priced from $569pp, departing on 23 June 2022. Head out from Chiang Mai and through a national park to Lahu and Karen villages, spend time with a shaman, explore deep caves by bamboo raft, and explore the lush jungle scenery before arriving at the hilltop village of Ban Jabo.
- A 10-day Highlights of Uzbekistan tour travelling from Tashkent return is priced from $2,079pp, departing on 3 June 2022. Check out the gorgeous mosques in Samarkand, experience a one-night stay in a traditional desert yurt, and be immersed in the diverse culture of ancient Bukhara.
- A 12-day Upgraded Borneo Adventure trip travelling from Kuching to Kota Kinabalu is priced from $5,699pp, departing on June 05, 2022. Watch a traditional dance performance in a Bidayuh tribal village, experience a bat exodus in Gunung Mulu National Park, cruise along the Kinabatangan River in search of wildlife and visit rescued Orangutans at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre.
