Royal Caribbean reveal four cruise ships headed to Alaska in mid-2023

Royal Caribbean has announced four world-class cruise ships will set course for Alaska in mid-2023.

Joining three returning ships, Ovation (featured image), Quantum and Radiance of the Seas, is Enchantment of the Seas, offering travellers a chance to cruise through the Gulf of Alaska.

The line-up of seven-night cruises will sail from Seattle, Vancouver, and Seward between May and September 2023.

The cruise lines’ return in 2023 will be its second consecutive year with four ships in the region.

Travellers can experience the Inside Passage, witness the Mendenhall Glacier and enjoy on-board activities such as simulated skydiving on RipCord by iFly.

Royal Caribbean Australia and New Zealand director of sales, Dave Humphreys, looks forward to Aussies and New Zealanders hopping on a cruise as international borders begin to reopen.

“As we see confidence in planning for overseas travel on the rise especially for 2023, we look forward to Australians planning their bucket-list Alaskan adventure online or with their travel agent,” he said.

“Royal Caribbean was the first cruise line to return to Alaska in 2021 and with cruise tourism generating upwards of $USD3 billion ($AUD4,259,340,000) for Alaska’s economy each year, we look forward to Australians exploring Alaska’s untouched beauty once again.

“With four ships to choose from, including two Quantum-class ships offering endless onboard adventures, from our rock climbing wall, to mind-bending puzzles in the Royal Escape Room and skydiving sessions at RipCord by iFLY – our innovative ships really do cater to adventurers of all ages,” said Humphreys.

Following the newly announced Alaska cruises, OvationQuantum, and Radiance of the Seas, will head to the islands of Hawaii where travellers can experience island hopping and discover the rainforests, waterfalls and beaches of the Pacific.
