Australia’s first Hilton Garden Inn debuts in WA
Hilton has announced the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Albany, a five-story, 108-room newly developed hotel overlooking the Albany Waterfront Marina.
The new WA property is owned by Foreshore Management and is managed by Hilton, and marks the first Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Australasia.
The hotel comprises 108 stylish and functional king, twin and accessible guest rooms, including six deluxe rooms, each with panoramic ocean views.
Each guest room features comfortable Suite Dreams by Serta beds, complimentary WiFi, a 55-inch high-definition TV and a work desk with an ergonomic chair.
Guests travelling in larger groups can enjoy sofa beds in every king guest room or take advantage of the new Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton technology to easily book and instantly confirm at least two of the hotel’s connecting rooms.
Guests can maintain their fitness routines whilst travelling at the 24-hour fitness centre featuring quality cardio and strength training equipment, and make use of the self-service laundry.
The hotel’s restaurant is located on the ground floor just steps away from the foreshore, and features an open kitchen that offers a hot buffet breakfast and dinner daily.
Hilton Garden Inn Albany’s bar serves succulent bites and handcrafted cocktails, locally-sourced craft beers and acclaimed Western Australian wines. It is located in the heart of the ground floor social space where visitors and locals can mix, mingle and take care of business.
The Shop, which is open 24 hours a day, gives guests a variety of grab-and-go menu options including healthy, indulgent and fresh locally-sourced foods, craft beers and other beverages, and a specialty self-serve coffee bar.
Thoughtful creativity has inspired the design of Hilton Garden Inn Albany’s 160 square metres of flexible event space designed to host memorable events.
The three separate meeting rooms, which can also be used as one space, feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the grassed frontage and onto the vibrant Albany Waterfront Marina.
Each room offers in-built audio and visual technology, catering facilities with several menu choices, and flexible offerings.
Heidi Kunkel, vice president of operations across Australasia at Hilton, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Foreshore Management to open our first Hilton Garden Inn in Australasia in the thriving regional cultural, commercial and coastal hub of Albany, Western Australia.
“The hotel marks Hilton’s fourth hotel in the state and joins sister properties Hilton Parmelia Perth, DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Northbridge and DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront.
“Its opening demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the state and our first foray into regional Western Australia. We look forward to further growing the Hilton Garden Inn brand in regional centres, as this hotel will be joined by Hilton Garden Inn Busselton in 2023.”
Jenny Milos, vice president of focused service and all suites brands across the Asia Pacific at Hilton, said: “Our Hilton Garden Inn brand is rapidly growing throughout Asia Pacific with almost 50 operating hotels and 110 properties in the pipeline, and we are delighted to add our first in Australasia today.
“With the imminent return to travel, we believe that the award-winning focused service Hilton Garden Inn brand will be extremely well-received in Australasia, with just the right amenities for guests seeking to maximise the value of their travel experiences.
“We are confident that Hilton Garden Inn Albany’s upscale and affordable accommodations, modern amenities and simple sophistication – in the hands of our wonderful hotel team – are sure to create exceptional experiences for domestic business and leisure travellers alike, and international visitors when the time is right.”
WA will get its second Hilton Garden Inn next year with the opening of the brand’s Busselton hotel, while NSW will welcome a Hilton Garden Inn to Sydney in 2023.
