Hilton to bring Garden Inn hotel brand to Sydney

Hilton has just signed off on the Hilton Garden Inn Sydney Kingswood, the sixth Hilton Garden Inn hotel in the pipeline for Australasia and the brand’s entry into Sydney.

In partnership with Boston Global, Hilton will manage the newly built 140-room property in the heart of Western Sydney, which also marks the Hilton’s third brand in Sydney, joining Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Curio Collection by Hilton.

Set to open in 2023, the hotel will be located 64 kilometres from Sydney International Airport and only 16 kilometres from the new Western Sydney International Airport at Badgerys Creek, which is expected to accept its first arrivals in 2026.

The hotel is also strategically positioned in the middle of Nepean Health Hub.

Hilton Garden Inn Sydney Kingswood will also be a short walk to Western Sydney University and close to Penrith’s key commercial, entertainment and cultural attractions, as well as to the foothills of the Blue Mountains.

When Hilton Garden Inn Sydney Kingswood opens, it will provide an upscale and affordable accommodation option to travellers and hospital patrons.

The hotel will feature 140 guest rooms, a full-service restaurant and bar, meeting facilities, a fitness room, rooftop bar, and “The Shop”, a 24-hour grab-and-go retail store where essentials, as well as local beverages and tasty treats, are available.

Guy Phillips, senior vice president of development across Asia and Australasia at Hilton, said his team has been busy preparing for Hilton Garden Inn Brand’s Australian debut with the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Albany in Western Australia in late 2021 and Hilton Garden Inn Busselton in 2022.

“We are pleased to be expanding the brand’s presence into Sydney as we look to achieve our ambition to double our footprint in Australasia in the next five years,” Phillips said.

“The hotel’s location in the heart of the growing economic powerhouse of Western Sydney, already Australia’s third-largest economy, will cater to both domestic and international leisure and business visitors travelling to this metropolis.”

Jenny Milos, vice president of focused service and all suites brand management across the Asia Pacific at Hilton, said: “With over 40 hotels in Asia Pacific and more than 100 hotels in the pipeline, our goal is to be everywhere in the region that travellers want to be.

“The coming years will be an exciting time of growth for Western Sydney, and Hilton Garden Inn Sydney Kingswood will give visitors the opportunity to experience the Hilton Garden Inn brand’s positive, upbeat service and value-added amenities.”

Hilton Garden Inn Sydney Kingswood will join 27 operating and 12 pipeline Hilton properties throughout Australasia.
