Flight Centre to give away five years’ worth of holidays

In news which will shock no one, Flight Centre knows Aussies are itching to travel, with 44 per cent of its surveyed customers saying they intend to travel overseas as soon as border openings allow.

Which is exactly why Australia’s largest travel agency network will make post-pandemic travel dreams come true by giving away five years’ worth of domestic or international holidays to one lucky person.

Launching today and running until 12 September, the ‘Win Your Next Five Years of Holidays’ competition will be open to Australians above the age of 18. All they have to do to go into the draw is visit the Flight Centre website, fill out a form and subscribe.

Each year, the winner will receive a $6,000 voucher from Flight Centre to explore any destination they like.

The vouchers can be used for travel to a destination, travel within a destination as well as hotels and car rentals which are all bookable through Flight Centre. The vouchers are valid for bookings in the name of the winner only.

The winner will be notified on 13 September via email.

Flight Centre Australia’s general manager, Kelly Spencer, said: “With much of the country currently locked down and international travel not on the cards until sometime in 2022, we wanted to give Aussies the chance to win something they can really get excited about.

“And, I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing I’m more excited about than just the thought of travelling again!

“Whether it’s an Uluru family trip, traversing Patagonia on a multi-day hike, eating your way through Hanoi’s best bún chả, heliskiing The Remarkables in New Zealand, staying at a luxurious palazzo on Venice’s Grand Canal or buying yourself a one-way plane ticket out of here to see the world, our ‘Win Your Next Five Years of Holidays’ competition has you more than covered in the travel department.

“We’ve made entry super simple, so all you have to do is enter your details and start dreaming about where the next five years of travel will take you. It’s that easy.”

The timing of the campaign is a convenient one for Flight Centre, having recently been lambasted over its handling of travel refunds during the COVID-19 pandemic in an explosive exposé of consumer complaints by CHOICE.
