AAT Kings helps promote Tasmania’s ‘Off Season’ with new tours

No matter where you are in Hobart you are never far away from the City's beloved mountain, kunanyi / Mt Wellington

AAT Kings and Tourism Tasmania have partnered up to entice travellers to discover ‘The Off Season’ with a range of new, winter-loving tours.

Headlining AAT Kings’ new experiences is a four-day Tassie Winter Warmer tour that takes in the island’s must-see sites, from the vines of the Tamar Valley to Cataract Gorge, to oyster tasting in Barilla Bay and exploring Salamanca Place in Hobart.

In celebration of this new tour, AAT Kings is offering couples $200 off the Tassie Winter Warmer tour booking price, which includes all activities, meals, accommodation and on-the-ground transport. Prices for couples start from $1,550 per person (including the discount).

Due to popular demand, for those that are looking to really indulge in all Tasmania has to offer, AAT Kings’ 10-day Tasmanian Wonders tour has just released new winter departure dates, with the first tour departing 30 June 2021.

Combining spectacular landscapes with exposure to rich convict history and gourmet artisan produce, the itinerary will take travellers to unforgettable locations such as Port Arthur, the wilds of the Gordon River, Freycinet National Park, Cradle Mountain and through the pristine Tarkine Wilderness.

AAT Kings’ Tasmanian Wonders tour, which includes all activities, most meals, accommodation and on-the-ground transport, starts from $3,505 per person for a couple.

Matt Fuller, CEO of AAT Kings Group, said the wholesaler was excited to be partnering with Tourism Tasmania and showcasing the region through its own experiences.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Tourism Tasmania on their ‘Off Season’ campaign, and our Tassie tours that range from four days to 10 days are a great way to experience those bucket-list locations, experiences and events with ease,” he said.

“I truly don’t think there is anywhere better to embrace the winter than in Tasmania, and just like the tag line says, when the winter arrives, the real Tasmania wakes up, and AAT Kings has the tours to attest.

“For the first time ever, we’re thrilled to be running a four-day Inspiring Journeys small-group Dark Mofo tour, which will immerse guests in the colour and excitement of the Dark Mofo festival while also showcasing some of Tasmania’s best food and wine experiences – from lunch at The Agrarian Kitchen to wine tasting at Moorilla Estate.

“We are very proud to be offering this Dark Mofo experience alongside our other Tasmanian tours, and we are excited for travellers to enjoy the very best of what this island has to offer.”

Tourism Tasmania CEO John Fitzgerald said: “It’s fantastic to see AAT Kings develop special winter tour packages to encourage visitors to come and experience a wintry holiday in Tasmania for themselves, so they can sample Tasmania’s unique creative spirit, variety of experiences and nature and wilderness like nowhere else.

“Having this partnership with AAT helps us amplify our message so that we can show Australians that winter is a season worth embracing rather than escaping.”
