Club Med welcomes new head of sales following “very competitive” recruitment process

Club Med has announced the appointment of Lisa Bacon as its head of sales for trade and MICE in Australia and New Zealand.

Bacon returns to the Club Med team in the newly created role, having previously held worked across various departments at the company including finance, reservations, meetings and events, and operations.

She even worked as part of the resort player’s animation team for nine years across multiple Club Med properties across the globe.

In her 15-year absence, Bacon worked in global sales roles with other international hotel brands such as the Radisson Hotel Group and The Hotel Connection.

Club Med’s general manager for Australia and New Zealand, Rachael Harding, said: “After a very competitive recruitment process, we are eager to welcome Lisa to our amazing Club Med team.

“We were so overwhelmed with impressive applicants for this highly sought-after role and wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone that applied or expressed interest in the position.”

Commenting on her appointment, Bacon said: “I can’t explain the excitement of having the opportunity to step back through the doors once again. My passion for the Club Med brand is incredible.

“I’m looking forward to working with the talented Club Med team in continuing to drive growth and implement new initiatives to support our valued partners in an ever-changing and volatile context.

Club Med has also announced that sales for its first Canadian resort are now open.

Club Med Québec Charlevoix will feature 302 rooms, including an ‘Exclusive Collection’ space with 25 suites, and is on track to open its doors on 3 December 2021.
