Opening date revealed for W Melbourne

Marriott International’s highly-anticipated W Melbourne hotel has announced it will open its doors on 4 February 2021.

According to a press release issued by the hotel, W Melbourne will bring “an unrivalled brand of rebellious luxury to the city”.

“Serving up a double shot of design, music, fashion and fuel, W Melbourne will turn the conventional on its head and become a rebel between the streets of Melbourne,” it said.

The new property includes 294 guest rooms and 29 suites, including four spacious WOW Suites. The Extreme WOW Suite features a 40-square-metre balcony with Yarra River views.

W Melbourne will also be home to four distinctive restaurants and bars.

Lollo will be under the culinary creative direction of a renowned local chef Adam D’Sylva offering a menu of sharp, fragrant flavours designed to be shared.

At Curious, guests will be drawn in by a secret laneway entrance into an eclectic, seductive space where they can experience a cocktail menu curated by Proof & Co and inspired by Melbourne’s cultural pillars of fashion, art and coffee.

Culprit will be a café-meets-wine-bar experience, and Warabi will showcase the epitome of Japanese food, culture and service.

W Melbourne will also boast a state-of-the-art fitness facility, and guests will find a gold-roof-adorned indoor pool complete with a poolside bar and DJ booth on level 14.

Furthermore, MICE professionals will be able to enjoy 830 square metres of ultra-modern conference, meeting and event space.
