Qantas launches flash sale for frequent flyers

Qantas has launched a frequent flyer flash sale, with savings on offer across flights, hotels, and more.

The promotion includes 20 per cent off the points needed for domestic flights, with services between Sydney and Adelaide now available at the cost of 26,600 points (adding up to a saving of 6,700 points).

Qantas has also introduced a 20 per cent reduction on the cash price for top-up points, while Qantas Hotels is offering 20 per cent off bookings made with points, alongside deals on Hyatt hotel stays.

Among these is a New Year’s Eve special at Park Hyatt Sydney, which includes a three-night stay for two and a special NYE dinner, at a saving of up to 247,063 points.

The sale also extends to Qantas Wine, with 20 per cent off points storewide, despite excluding existing sale items, items with bonus points, classic rewards wines, wine subscriptions, and Penfolds products.

You can also make the most of a sale in the Rewards Store, with another 20 per cent off storewide on items like the Dyson V7 Trigger Handheld vacuum and Sony Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones (excludes existing sale items, gift cards and charities).

Frequent flyers can also save 19,094 points on popular SMEG coffee machines, and enjoy an Avis car hire booking at 20 per cent off.

“Reduced travel hasn’t dampened frequent flyers’ appetite for earning Qantas Points,” a Qantas spokesperson told Travel Weekly.

“The majority of our members have spent the last six months continuing to build their points balances in readiness to splurge on a good deal.”

The ‘Big Points Sale’ kicks off today and runs until Monday 19 October.
