Intrepid launches virtual short tours and experiences

Intrepid’s day tour arm, Urban Adventures, has released a series of online experiences to keep your clients thirsty for their next trip.

The experiences range from hands-on cooking classes to traditional art instruction, yoga classes and more, connecting travellers with local guides around the world for interactive one or two hour sessions.

Hosted over Zoom, the experiences can be booked as either join-in or private classes and are open to everyone.

The experiences are Intrepid’s latest foray into creating new kinds of experiences for travellers in response to border closures and safety restrictions.

Last week, the tour operator introduced Intrepid Retreats, to give families a longer stay in the one location with nearby experiences and an emphasis on ‘slow travel’.

The experiences also provide guides around the world with a new kind of product offering to help support economic recovery.

Travellers can virtually travel to Poland, Russia, India and Mexico, with Intrepid promising more destinations to come.

The best part? They’re a complete steal, priced from $40 each.

Here’s a taste of what your clients can get out of the new ‘trips’:

Frida Kahlo Watercolor Painting class

An art class focused on Mexican pop art and creating a watercolour masterpiece inspired by the works of Frida Kahlo.

With the guidance of a local artist in Mexico City, your clients can paint their own work of art by following simple steps and using materials that are easy to find online or in any art store.

This online experience focuses not only on learning basic yoga moves but on changing any myths you may have about yoga.
