Hotels.com creates hilariously convenient ‘Road Trip Robe’

The Hotels.com Limited-Edition Road Trip Robe

For those of us who love the adventure of a road trip but need the creature comforts of a hotel, Hotels.com has unveiled a clever new invention.

Introducing the ‘Road Trip Robe’; “the must-have road trip accessory of the summer” or winter, if you’re in the southern hemisphere like us.

Hotels.com has touted the limited-edition robe as “wearable hotel suite” for those hoping to upgrade their road trips and “travel comfortably from one hotel to the next”.

The robe features a large mini-bar pocket on the upper right side, built-in WiFi, a locked safe pocket, a mattress seat cushion, a hot and cold pocket for “storage from gas station hot dogs to pints of ice cream”, a tech pocket for your smart devices, and some handy hand sanitiser, of course.

The robe also comes with a $1,500 Hotels.com gift card and a year-long upgrade to Hotels.com gold status complete with VIP perks like room upgrades, late checkout, priority customer service and more; so the rewards keep coming as you keep travelling.

Unfortunately, the robes, which were going for $215, have sold out, but there’s nothing stopping you from making your own.

All you’ll need is a terry-towelling robe, extra fabric for pockets, sewing skills and zero shame.
