Evolution Travel Collective teams up with 50 Degrees North and NORD Journeys

Evolution Travel Collective (ETC) has formed a new partnership with Melbourne-based Scandinavian specialists 50 Degrees North and NORD Journeys.

Having created boutique holiday experiences for almost 10 years, primarily in the FIT and tailor-made travel sector, 50 Degrees North’s reservation team is mostly made up of Scandinavian expats.

The company recently launched NORD Journeys, which extends their offering to include an extensive range of mid-level packages, self-drive and tour options for clients in Scandinavia, the Baltics & Russia.

The launch of NORD Journeys in October was in response to the recent collapse of Bentours and the subsequent increase in demand for Scandinavian tours in Australian and New Zealand, 50 Degrees North said at the time.

ETC founder and chief executive Pete Rawley (pictured above) said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to partner with such a wonderful destination specialist in 50 Degrees North.

“Their expertise in the Scandinavian region is unsurpassed and we are incredibly excited to represent their two brands, 50 Degrees North and NORD Journeys, to the Australian and New Zealand trade.”

Tietse Stelma, owner of 50 Degrees North and NORD Journeys, said: “We are excited about partnering with Evolution Travel Collective as we grow our retail agent footprint in this market.

“Their team of experienced BDMs will provide us with an increased opportunity to showcase our product to agents at point-of-sale level, whilst still giving agents the chance to speak to a true Scandinavian expert through our Melbourne-based reservation team.

“We think it’s the perfect combination.”

To coincide with the partnership, NORD Journeys has launched a dedicated agent Facebook page.
