WATCH: Tourist’s cool, calm response to paragliding rope snapping mid-flight

Footage of a paragliding pilot and a female tourist falling into the ocean after they were forced to deploy an emergency parachute has emerged.

But while the incident could have been frightful, it is the tourist’s seemingly cool and upbeat reaction to the rope snap that has garnered attention.

During the flight, the tourist can be seen laughing and seemingly enjoying the trip and the view across the Turkish coastline.

“Woah! I’m happy now,” the woman says at one point.

Later, the pilot even asks, joking, “Do you want to swim?”, with the tourist replying, “Yes, I want to swim.”

They soon run into trouble when one of the glider aircraft’s ropes snap.

As the glider aircraft comes closer to the water, the pair have a brief exchange before breaking the water.

“We swim now?” the tourist asks.

“Yes,” the pilot replies.

“OK.”

The recording ends as the pair breaks the water.

Both remained calm throughout the incident, and both were reportedly unharmed.

The video was recovered after the incident and posted to YouTube by ENGair Tandem Paragliding agency.

According to 10 Daily, the pilot said the incident will be shown to would-be pilots at training courses.

The pilot also allegedly said the tourist “vowed to come back” next year for more paragliding.
