Singapore Tourism has just wrapped up its most recent trade roadshow Down Under, which saw more than 450 travel professionals experience all that the destination has to offer, right on their doorstep.

Kicking off in Sydney before heading to Brisbane and then Melbourne in late August, the ‘Find your Tribe’ Roadshow and its theme – #PassionMadePossible – let travel agents explore their Singaporean passions by identifying with a tourism ‘tribe’ through four different activations.

The ‘Culture Shaper’ activation provided an opportunity for attendees to learn about and engage with Singapore Peranakan culture, which included decorating and taking home their very own tile made in the unique tradition of Peranakan.

Over at the ‘Foodie’ station was a depiction of olden day kopitiam or coffee shop, with traditional coffee and toasted bread with kaya jam that is still today a staple breakfast in Singapore.

The station also featured a ‘Coffee Story’ mural drawn by Yip Yew Chong, a famous Singaporean street artist, which attendees were encouraged to take photos of and share on social media with the hashtag #VisitSingapore.

The ‘Explorer’ station featured a green wall exhibiting the incredible amount of greenery that covers vast sections of the Garden City, due to its many parks and captivating skyrise greenery.

And at the ‘Socialiser’ station was the (unsurprisingly popular) bar, where attendees could grab a Singapore Sling, and which also had a sprinkling of peanut shells as a way of harking back to Singapore’s past when locals would sit at bars and toss them.
