A&K’s Sujata Raman to speak at Travel DAZE 2019!

Travel DAZE 2019 is set to disrupt the industry like nothing else next month, thanks to a very impressive line-up of speakers.

Among those is Sujata Raman, regional managing director for Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) in Australia and across the Asia Pacific.

Passionate about seeing the world and experiencing its cultures, Raman has lived on three continents and travelled to all seven.

She graduated with an economics degree from the American University in Cairo and started her career in travel with Sheraton Hotels in Egypt.

In 1984, Raman joined A&K Egypt to manage its Australian business. The company set up operations in Australia in the late 1980s, and in 1990, she moved to Melbourne as Marketing Manager to develop the fledgling Australian business.

Raman has been with A&K ever since, seeing the business grow into an award-winning luxury travel company employing more than 100 permanent staff in Australia and New Zealand.

She is also chair of Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy, a registered Australian charity that supports more than 40 philanthropy projects around the world.

Raman will be joining the likes of former Greens leader Bob Brown, TV presenter and Logie winner Costa Georgiadis and Google travel boss Michelle Allen on Wednesday 28 August at the NSW Teachers Federation in Sydney to talk all things sustainability at Travel DAZE 2019. Check out the full list of awesome speakers here.

Travel DAZE keeps it interesting: no sales pitches, no death-by-PowerPoint – just rapid-fire 15-minute talks by smart folks. Or we unleash the T-Rex.
