NTIA 2019 winners revealed!

The winners of the 2019 AFTA National Travel Industry Awards have been revealed at a gala event on Saturday night at Sydney’s International Convention Centre.

The world-class venue played host to some 1,300 travel industry guests from across the industry, including airlines, hotels and car hire providers, tour operators, wholesalers, river and cruise operators, and travel agencies.

Formalities were led by international award-winning personality and TV journalist Anjali Rao, who ensured a smooth procession through the 44 award categories which celebrated excellence across the travel industry.

This year, the NTIA gala dinner included a new segment, the inaugural CATO Awards, which recognised front line travel consultants across four categories: Group Touring, Adventure, Ski and Free Independent Travel (FIT).

Guests were entertained by singer Paulini thanks and, in true travel industry style, guests continued celebrations into the early hours of the morning at an after-party thanks at The Watershed Hotel in Darling Harbour.

AFTA chief executive Jayson Westbury said: “On behalf of the AFTA board of directors and AFTA staff, we are very proud to have once again delivered such a spectacular event enjoyed by all.

“We are thankful to the 2019 sponsors, judges, ICC Sydney, finalists, winners and, in fact, all who were involved in making the gala dinner possible”.
