Fiji Airways appoints new PR agency for Australia and New Zealand

Hong Kong, China - August 10, 2013: Fiji Airways Airbus A330 departure from the Hong Kong International Airport. Fiji Airways operates international and domestic services around the Pacific.

Fiji Airways has appointed CampaignLab to develop and implement PR and integrated campaigns across Australia and New Zealand, following a competitive pitch process.

CampaignLab’s role will include working across the airline’s consumer and corporate PR initiatives as, well as delivering creative campaigns to promote Fiji as a destination and Fiji Airways as the preferred carrier.

Shaenaz Voss, executive general manager of corporate affairs at Fiji Airways, said CampaignLab’s ambitious ideas reflected the new heights the airline wants to reach.

“As Fiji’s national airline, our business has a massive impact on Fiji’s tourism industry and the country’s economy,” she said.

“We therefore undertook a rigorous procurement process to find a partner that could match our own ambitions.”

Voss said CampaignLab’s proposal and pitch demonstrated its team was not only insightful, but also innovative.

“We’re confident that we’ve selected an agency that will deliver results and help us elevate our reputation of quality and luxury,” she said.

Commenting on the win, CampaignLab director Andy Scales said: “We’re thrilled to be working with such an iconic brand. There has never been a more exciting time to be working with the airline.

“Fiji is known for its idyllic beaches, crystal clear waters and incredible culture, but there’s a whole side to Fiji and the airline that is yet to be explored.

“By helping Fiji Airways join the conversations that travellers are actually having, we’re going to bring these things to life in a way that’s never been done before.

“Ultimately, we want the Fiji experience to start the moment passengers step onboard the aircraft.”

CampaignLab’s appointment comes not long after Fiji Airways revealed slower profit growth for 2018 and warned of a “challenging” year ahead.
