Airline pilots report UFO sighting over Ireland
We don’t want to alarm you, but multiple pilots may have spotted a UFO zooming over Ireland last week.
Air traffic controllers at Shannon Airport received the first call early Friday morning on November 9 from a British Airways pilot, the Daily Telegraph reported.
“It came up to my left-hand side, then rapidly veered to the north,” the pilot said, sounding almost embarrassed.
“Is there a military exercise?”
“There’s nothing showing on either primary or secondary (radar),” Air traffic controllers responded.
The pilot, who was flying a Boeing 737 from Montreal to London, said she saw a “bright light” that was travelling at a very high speed.
“(It) was travelling so fast — in fact you can no longer see it. We were just wondering. We didn’t think it was likely on a collision course, but just wondered what it could have been,” she said.
But she wasn’t the only one to report the strange phenomenon.
Two more pilots contacted air traffic control with similar sightings just minutes later.
A Virgin Airlines pilot on their way from Orlando to Manchester cut in and confirmed he had also seen something he described as a “meteor or another object making some kind of re-entry.”
“There appeared to be multiple objects following the same sort of trajectory. They were very bright from where we were … two bright lights that seemed to bank over to the right and climb away at speed at least from our perspective,” he said.
Another pilot piped in and said the speed of the objects was “astronomical, it was like Mach 2 (2500km/h).”
“Glad it wasn’t just me,” another remarked.
Irish aviation authorities have confirmed they are investigating reports of “unusual air activity”.
“Following reports from a small number of aircraft on Friday 9 November of unusual air activity the IAA has filed a report,” the Irish Aviation Authority said.
“This report will be investigated under the normal confidential occurrence investigation process.”
Whatever the outcome of the investigation, we for one are convinced that something very spooky is taking place in Irish airspace.
