Contiki launches epic round-the-world, 82-day itinerary

Contiki launches epic round-the-world, 82-day itinerary

Always wanted to travel around the world but don’t know where to start? Contiki has got just the thing.

Because they’ve just launched a brand new itinerary! And it’s their biggest yet.

82 days, to be exact.

The trip takes in all New 7 Wonders of the world. The New7Wonders resulted from a campaign launched in 2000 by philanthropist Bernard Weber to select the wonders of the world from a list of 200 existing monuments, with the winners announced 7 July 2007 in Lisbon.

The New 7 Wonders include:

The Taj Mahal in India

Taj Mahal

The Great Wall of China

Great-Wall-China

Chichen Itza in Mexico

Chichen-Itza

Machu Picchu in Peru

Machu-Picchu

Christ the Redeemer in Brazil

Christ-the-redeemer

Petra in Jordan

PETRA

And the Colosseum in Italy

Colosseum

And yes – you visit all of them! The itinerary starts in Delhi on March 24, 2019, and finishes up in Rome on June 13 – visiting nine countries in total.

The trip is made up of five of Contiki’s most popular itineraries, plus the brand new Israel & Jordan Uncovered trip, launched September 5.

There’s the Eternal India itinerary, the China Adventure itinerary, the Yucatan Highlights trip, the 18-day The Explorer itinerary, the brand new Israel & Jordan itinerary, and lastly, the Simple Italy trip.

The round-the-world trip will cost upwards of $20,802 and doesn’t include flights (obvs) but does include 92 meals.

And in addition to seeing the seven wonders, travellers will get to visit a panda sanctuary in Chengdu, China, canopy hike through the Amazon jungle, have a tango lesson in Buenos Aires, Argentina, go 4x4ing across Wadi Rum in Jordan and enjoy a boat trip to the island of Capri in Italy.

Which, overall, sounds like a pretty good three months to us.
