THE COUNT DOWN BEGINS: It’s almost time for TravelManager’s annual conference

Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head, Honolulu, Oahu Island, Hawaii, October 2012

The countdown has begun, people!

Just ONE DAY LEFT until TravelManagers annual national conference in Oahu Hawaii!

We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to slip into our Hawaiian shirts and embark on a HUGE weekend of fabulous team building activities, groundbreaking industry insights, and get all teary-eyed watching the PTM family reunite.

Oh, and did we mention it’s in HAWAII??

The destination has always been a big drawcard for the conference, previously being held in Fiji, Singapore, Bangkok and even aboard a cruise ship out of Sydney.

So since this year’s location was announced at the conclusion of last year’s conference in Darwin, the reaction has been enthusiastic, to say the least.

Plus, the speaker’s list is off the proverbial CHAIN this year, including Turia Pitt, Chris Paulsen and six all-star PTM’s each of whom will share the “Secrets of [their] Success” during the three-day event.

“Our annual National Conference is a great opportunity for everyone to reconnect with people in other states they haven’t seen since the previous year’s conference – which is one of the reasons that we always have such strong attendance,” said TravelManager’s chairman, Barry Mayo.

“We place great emphasis on fostering a culture that celebrates each other’s successes and taps into the knowledge, experience and talent that exists within the company.

“Our conference is a great environment in which to nurture that spirit – we celebrate the achievements of the past year, we learn from each other and we have a lot of fun in the process.”

A sentiment which ties in pretty well with this year’s conference theme: Success.

“Success is all about balance and being at one’s best: it applies not just to the financial success of the business but also to the wellbeing of our people,” said Mayo.

Now please excuse us while we jam as many Hawaiian shirts and hula skirts in our suitcase as possible.
