Pet projects: Meet Mr Mouse and Waffle

This week we’ve been introducing you to some of the travel industry’s favourite furry friends.

Each day, you got to meet a very loyal member of the animal kingdom and their travel industry owners.

Today wraps up our spectacular week of showcasing the sweetest lil faces in travel!

But watch this space: the popularity of our Pet Project articles has encouraged us to consider making it a regular part of the Travel Weekly website!

If you want your cute little critter featured in Pet Project, let us know here!

And now, let us introduce to you our favourite pets so far: Mr Mouse and Waffle.

Mr Mouse and Waffle belong to David Smyth, director of Forward Travel.

Here’s their story.

Mr Mouse and Waffle are very much part of our family.

We had various pets like dogs, fish and birds, so when it came to decide on what we should get next we were looking for something that would be small enough that we could keep them in the house, yet easy to maintain.

We decided on guinea pigs, as they are extremely social animals and very cute, which the children love.

They like to sit with us and watch TV, plus we can leave them outside to roam during the days.

The kids really enjoy looking after them – it gives them a sense of pride being able to care for such small animals.
