Collette Expands Sales Team

Zach Gregory Joins Collette

Collette has expanded their Sales Team, welcoming Zach Gregory to Collette as the NSW/ACT Business Development Manager, joining NSW BDM Fran Gildon to cover the State. Zach joins following many years in the cruise sector.

Singapore Airlines appoints new National Agency Sales Manager

Singapore Airlines is pleased to announce the appointment of Shahreen Goodrick as National Agency Sales Manager, working out of Singapore Airlines’ Sydney office effective from Monday 8 January.

Ms Goodrick rejoins the Sydney office having worked as the Airline’s Manager Marketing and Alliances New Zealand, as well as having previously held roles within the Australian Area Marketing department.

Ms Goodrick said that she is looking forward to again working in the Australian market.

“It is exciting to once again join the Sydney team where I started my career with Singapore Airlines. I am looking forward to working with our Australian trade partners as well as our local sales and distribution teams to grow our national sales efforts.”

Brisbane Marketing appoints new Convention Bureau GM

Juliet Alabaster has been appointed General Manager of the Brisbane Convention Bureau, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience within the conventions and business events industry.

Brisbane Marketing CEO Brett Fraser said he was delighted to appoint Ms Alabaster to the position which sits within the leadership team of the city’s economic development board.

“Juliet has become an integral figure at Brisbane Marketing and within the broader conventions industry, and this role will enable her to contribute even further in this space,” Mr Fraser said.

Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit Appoints Sammy Carolus as GM

Sammy Carolus has been appointed General Manager of Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit, set to open later this year on vibrant Sukhumvit Road.

In his new role, Carolus returns to Thailand — a place in which he has spent more than half of his 25-year professional career — to lead Bangkok’s first Hyatt Regency-branded hotel.

Prior to this appointment, he was the general manager at Grand Hyatt Taipei.

“After an extremely rewarding experience in Taipei, I am excited to be returning to the Land of Smiles,” said Carolus, who first moved to Thailand in 2003 as director of marketing for Hyatt Regency Hua Hin & THE BARAI. “The new Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit is set to be the jewel in the Hyatt Regency crown and I look forward to welcoming our guests at the Grand Opening in the summer of 2018.”

Six Senses Welcomes Back Ryo Yakuwa as Director of Sales and Marketing Projects and Pre-Openings

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is delighted that Ryosuke Yakawa has rejoined the group following a 14-month break. Ryo returns to the Six Senses family in the role of director of sales and marketing new projects and pre-openings.

His invaluable knowledge and drive will be a huge asset in the launching of six scheduled resorts in 2018 and the next wave of growth in 2019 and beyond.

Ryo first joined Six Senses in 2005 representing the Maldives properties as sales and marketing manager at a time when the destination was a relatively new product on the world’s hospitality stage. Following several successful tenures as property director of sales & marketing in Fiji and southern Thailand, Ryo took the reigns of his greatest challenge as the director of sales and marketing for Asia, Pacific and the United States.
