Nearly 600 travel pros headed to Cruise360 today

Cruise360 is sailing into successful waters today, as its attendance list hits record figures, with nearly 600 travel industry professionals fronting up to the conference in Sydney today.

The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia’s conference has also rolled out the welcome mat for 56 delegates from across the ditch in NZ too, while an impressive speaker line-up features everyone from Azamara Club Cruises CEO Larry Pimental to Carnival Cruise Line’s Terry Thornton.

Cruise360 is the biggest cruise conference in the southern hemisphere, but it’s not one of those ‘falling asleep in a big auditorium’ type thing, no there’s far more to get travel pros excited.

In addition to the key-notes and interactive State of the Industry panel discussions, this year’s conference also includes four Masterclasses delivering valuable insights on selling river cruising, driving loyalty, up-selling (luxury and expedition) and how to build a marketing campaign to maximise the benefits of CLIA’s upcoming Plan a Cruise Month.

The Cruise360 trade show features a record number of participants with 45 companies presenting their products and services.

Joel Katz, Managing Director CLIA Australasia said, “Cruise360 has more than doubled in size since we started four years ago, which is testament to the unprecedented growth of the cruise industry in this region.

“Cruise360 is the must-attend event for travel agents looking to gain a competitive edge and learn from the market leaders.”

“This year the program features the largest ever line up of international and local cruise line executives, agency leaders and agents sharing valuable insights and tools to help cruise agents grow their business.

“With Cruise360 sold out and a waiting list of delegates wanting to attend, we are already starting to plan the 2018 Cruise360 to be able to accommodate the strong demand”.

For the first time, Cruise360 includes an optional ship inspection of the Pacific Explorer, and the chance to participate in a familiarisation trip.

Agents attending Cruise360 will accrue 40 points towards their CLIA accreditation, and will also have the opportunity to win some fabulous prizes, including seven cruises.
