The who, what & where of Luxperience
Not sure what Luxperience is really about? Get the lowdown on the only show of its kind in the southern hemisphere.
What is it?
Luxperience is the southern hemisphere’s only luxury business event that connects the most innovative experiential tourism and premium business events authorities in the high-end travel market.
The three-day event is held in Sydney each year and aims to provide delegates with inspirational ideas and create long term meaningful connections. Each attendee has a personalised pre-scheduled appointment diary, so they can meet with their preferred buyers or suppliers within the luxury experiential travel and corporate events and incentives space.
In addition, our program includes several networking events, tour options and inspiring business sessions from innovative and thought provoking visionaries.
Who will be there?
Attendance at Luxperience is strictly by invitation only and open to the key players in the global luxury leisure travel and premium business events industries. We travel the world to bring together thought leaders, innovators and respected authorities in premium experiential travel services.
Our experts are linked through knowledge and a deep understanding of the needs of the sophisticated global traveller. Think of us as your personal introduction agent, business coach and social planner.
How did it start?
Experiential travel was one of the top trends of the early 2010s with a growing demand for authentic, immersive experiences that had a strong sense of place. The trend quickly moved away from the backpacker market and into the luxury travel space as savvy, high-end travellers began looking to expand their horizons.
At the same time, there was a gap in the market for an event that brought all of these exciting new offerings to Australia. In 2012 we launched the first ever Luxperience show, thanks to founder Helen Logas. Since then, we have grown rapidly and our fifth anniversary show in 2017 was the largest and most successful we have ever held.
We welcome buyers and exhibitors from across the globe, and have firmly established Luxperience as a must-do global business event for passionate and knowledgeable industry leaders.
Why should I attend as a buyer?
You’ll find the best hotels, tour operators, cruise lines and tourism boards in the one spot, showcasing their exceptional luxury offerings for the only time in Australia.
“An excellent way to meet and connect with suppliers that are working in our space, and to learn about new initiatives,” said Adam George, Evolution Luxury Travel.
“It was a pleasure to attend Luxperience in 2016 and I can’t wait to return in 2017! I came back to the office last year with an edge over my local competitors!
“Connecting with local experts from around the world will ensure that my clients receive the very best and personal experiences, and this wouldn’t have been possible if I didn’t attend Luxperience,” added Michelle Barker, Jayes Travel.
Why should I attend as an exhibitor?
Luxperience is your opportunity to meet with the top national and international buyers in the industry. There is a custom qualifying process to ensure that buyers have proven extensive experience selling luxury, high-end experiential travel or premium business events to their high net worth and corporate clients.
They recognise quality, authenticity and uniqueness within the products they sell.
“Attending Luxperience is the equivalent worth of one year’s sales calls around the world.
“This saves me on travel costs and allows me engaging appointments with some of the world’s best agents,” commented Craig Gibbons, Regional Director Australia & New Zealand for the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board.
“Being able to meet with high-end agents from multiple consortiums including Virtuoso and Magellan, as well as independent agents and agencies, all in one place to educate them on Japan and how it is perfectly suited to luxury travellers is a fantastic opportunity.
“We gained many new contacts, both Australian and internationally, at Luxperience in 2016 and look forward to meeting many more new agents this year,” said Kana Wakabayashi, Executive Director, Japan National Tourism Organization.
Luxperience is an invitation-only business forum encouraging connections between highly sought-after luxury experiences and agents who influence the travel decision of the world’s elite travellers. Registrations now open for qualified travel specialists.
