Tourists outnumber locals in these 51 destinations

The Telegraph have compiled a list of destinations who’s citizens are outnumbered by Tourists.

The Telegraph reports that Andorra, the tiny province located in Southwestern Europe and squished right in between Spain and France, takes out the top spot, receiving an annual 33.5 tourists per resident. 2.3 million people visit Andorra, but only 700,000 actually live there.

Coming in second is Macao in East Asia, where 24. 8 tourists visit per resident. The locals make up the 650,900, while the region is visited by 2,501,21 million tourists.

In third place is British Virgin Islands, who receive 12.8 tourists per resident.

The Vatican City is not on the list because it is not on the 2014 World Bank’s database, however around 5 million people visit each year while only 842 people live there. The Telegraph estimates that’s a whopping 6,000 per citizen.
