Cox and Kings shuffles Turkey tours

Celsus Library in Ephesus, Turkey

Cox and Kings Australia and New Zealand ground operators have been ensuring all guests currently in Turkey on tours are being well looked after and necessary changes to itineraries are being made.

Cox and Kings Australia and New Zealand CEO, Damian Perry shared the latest from the Tempo team on the ground in Turkey.

“We are incredibly saddened by the recent events in Turkey and express our deepest sympathies. Turkey, along with France, Greece, Italy, Croatia and other Mediterranean destinations have been the core of Tempo Australia and New Zealand’s specialty destinations. While Tempo have expanded into India, the subcontinent and Latin America our heart is always with our history and our Mediterranean cousins” Perry said.

“Our on ground team have been in constant contact with our Melbourne based operations team to make sure our travelers are safe and well. We understand there are many questions and we will do our best to keep everyone in the loop with our local operations team communication. Recently I spoke to our team in Turkey and they had the following to say”.

Ground operators for the company in Turkey also said they are very upset about what’s happening in the country and gave thanks for all your support during these difficult times.  However, after a dramatic weekend in Istanbul and Ankara, everything is going back to normal.

The company adds all guests have travelled to other destinations to reach their final destinations, and “we have been working with them to re arrange their accommodation, transfers and activities as needed.”

Perry said he will keep clients updated when there are more changes needed and/or update the status in Turkey.

Tempo scheduled travel arrangements are operating as planned. However, any guests who are booked to travel on any trips that include Nice, or Turkey within the next month, may change their itinerary, rebook to any other upcoming 2016 departure date, or 2017 itinerary if the selected 2016 itinerary is not available without penalty or fees.
