Peregrine Adventures Antarctic earlybird so cheap cheap

The wildest land on earth has never been closer as Peregrine Adventures has launched its 2017/2018 Antarctic earlybird offer this morning.

Agents can help their customers save up to $8300 off select Antarctic voyages by booking early for the 2017/2018 season, with the deal on sale until 30 September 2016 or until sold out.

When the early explorers set course for Antarctica, there were no chartered flights direct to King George Island or comfortable, stylish expedition ships. Instead they had to make do with husky teams, beef jerky and long lonely months at sea.

These days, the final frozen frontier is a lot more accessible. One minute you’re stuck in traffic on your way to the supermarket; the next you’re surrounded by a thousand penguins on a beach at the end of the world.

Antarctica really is the frozen ends of the earth. It’s the highest, driest continent on the planet, and to get there requires a trip by sea across the storm-wracked Drake Passage between South America and the Antarctic Peninsula (unless you cheat and catch a very expensive plane). Some 98 percent of Antarctica is covered by ice, and the landscapes is surprisingly varied. There are of course mountains, glaciers, and icebergs. But the icebergs come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. The weather can completely change the landscape by bringing out the every hue in the ice.

Temperatures during the warmers months will still often be below zero, probably the average summer daytime temperature is between -4 and +2 Celsius.

In terms of wildlife, Antarctica is obviously where you find penguins: Adelie, Chinstrap, Gentoo, King, Emperor, RockHopper and Macaroni penguins to be exact. There’s also an abundance of fur, leopard and Weddell seals, as well as migrating Humpback and Minke whales.

On a Peregrine polar journey, a team of experts takes care of all the details so you can get out and enjoy the adventure of a lifetime.
