LAST seats left for Sri Lanka Tourism Melbourne Roadshow

Sri Lanka Tourism has experienced sell out shows for its series of travel industry events this May, with a handful of spaces only left now for the Melbourne event on 17 May.

A delegation of 50 Sri Lankan representatives will host Australian travel agents, tour operators and media for dinner and networking as the tourism bureau sets it sights on developing arrivals from Australia.

The announcement comes at a time when Sri Lanka as a destination has been gaining momentum in the consumer press with significant interest steadily developing among consumers. Meanwhile wholesalers are now touting Sri Lanka as a destination to watch.

The roadshows are scheduled for 17 May in Melbourne, 19 May in Brisbane and 23 May in Sydney.

Director of Marketing, Madubhani Perera said, “We are very excited to increase our promotional efforts in Australia and engage the Australian travel industry to help demonstrate to consumers the wonders of Sri Lanka.”

Madubhani continued, “We have world heritage sites, rich bio diversity, tropical beaches, adventurous experiences and world class hotels. We are excited to share these opportunities with the travel industry in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.”

With proceedings beginning at 5.30pm the evenings will see attendees treated to a three-course dinner at a five star hotel in each city, a networking session with suppliers and the chance to win a trip to Sri Lanka.
