Kurt Solarte is Executive Director for IBM Studios, Australia and knows a thing or two about what the future holds working for an innovative brand.

So its a good thing he’s also a speaker at the upcoming Travel DAZE forum focusing on The Future of Travel we keep hammering on about!

Kurt is a huge rugby follower, a hopeless Chicago Cubs fan, and a guy fascinated with design of physical space and user experiences. He is also an avid traveller in a family of four nomads. Kurt Solarte _ IBM STUDIOS NEW

At work, he is the Exec Director for the IBM Studios | Australia, and a Partner with IBM Interactive Experience; where he mostly attempts to wrangle and grow the incredibly creative and inspiring designers, developers, experience consultants, and strategic thinkers in the agile delivery of interactive web and mobile experiences.

His past includes IBM Interactive in the US, UK, and Canada where he was focused on keeping User Experience alive and relevant in the agile delivery of e-commerce, web portal, and mobile projects.

Kurt also spent a 2 year secondment with IBM Australia as the Agile Practice Lead. His career at IBM began with IBM Software Group in the Software Labs @Research Triangle Park, as part of the WebSphere products teams.

He has been a guest lecturer at UNSW, UTS, & Deakin; and regularly publishes for both IBM and industry publications on topics of agile/lean development,Interactive Computing, and Design Thinking.
