Scotland nips into Sydney with whiskey and spirit

Visit Scotland has kicked off its Australian trade mission in Sydney with its first event held at the Art Gallery of NSW last night.

Agents were welcomed with drinks and canapes, with Scottish salmon, cheese croquettes and gourmet cottage pies.

It was then down to the auditorium where Visit Scotland chairman Mike Cantlay addressed the audience on the spirit of Scotland, and how road trips and movie location travel is coming to the fore.

Qatar Airways Dani Moubarak then detailed the soon-to-launch flights from Sydney to Doha, with connections on to Edinburgh.

Agents were then escorted through The Greats art exhibition, which is a collection of art from Scottish galleries.

Back up to Chiswick restaurant, there was whiskey tastings matched with food, from cheese to chocolate.
