Around the world in 20 venues

Around the world in 20 venues

The most prestigious global venues in the world were unveiled last week.

Prestigious Star Awards, the only global luxury venue award program currently operating, selects 20 venues from a long list of 2,000 as voted by event bookers and experts from around the planet.

The program celebrates the quality, performance and reputation of the world’s best venues qualified to host the most memorable events with all venues being verified by Prestigious Venue Ambassadors in each continent.

And Australia got to toot its own horn a bit, with The Langham, Sydney taking out the award for Most Prestigious Global Press Conference Venue, winning ahead of New York Palace and Raffles Dubai.

This win comes after a strong repositioning year for the hotel since re-opening doors after a grand transformation, with a strong push to convert high level celebrity clientele towards the hotel by running one of Australia’s most impressive VIP and media programs, which has proven very successful amongst the A-List crowd.

“We wanted to reposition as Sydney’s luxury, celebrity and fashion hotel and this global award absolutely acknowledges our efforts this year with very high profile media events” general manager, Sonia Lefevre said.
