Who the hell is Jo Boundy?

Who the hell is Jo Boundy?

Jo Boundy is Qantas’ Head of Digital & Entertainment.

Oh, and she’s also a speaker at the upcoming Travel DAZE forum thingy we keep banging on about!

But why does she care about disruption?

Well, for starters, airlines are some of the biggest targets of the new travel apocalypse, with technology, Low Cost Carriers, and demanding travellers forcing the industry to change.

And change they did. But it doesn’t stop there. Boundy is a critical thinker when it comes to the giant waves rocking the tourism boat, and knows that resting on your laurels and doing what you’ve always done won’t save you now.

Boundy is responsible for the Qantas Group’s digital and entertainment strategies. This includes maintaining Qantas’ brand and reputation on digital channels, including driving innovation, digital communication, social media, digital content and content marketing.

She also oversees the organisations Entertainment properties, including delivering world class entertainment to customers in lounges, terminals and onboard Qantas aircraft. In addition to this, Boundy is responsible for driving the youth strategy to increase awareness amongst this community and build a strong customer pipeline.

Boundy joined Qantas in 2009 and has held several positions, including the head of internal communications for the Qantas Group.

Prior to Qantas, she worked for a number of blue-chip companies to develop their digital, media, PR and internal communication strategies, both in Australia and overseas, including for Optus, British Telecom and Google.

Travel DAZE is hands down the most influential forum for the Australian travel industry.

It’s as simple as that.
