AccorHotels appoints new GMs

AccorHotels is pleased to announce the following new appointments in Australia:

Mark Wilkinson has been appointed General Manager, Pullman King George Square Brisbane. Mark has come full circle as he started his hospitality career as a section waiter at the hotel’s fine dining restaurant Olivers back in the late 1980s.

Mark has held General Manager positions at Sofitel Queenstown, Sofitel Gold Coast and Novotel Twin Waters. His most recent role was General Manager, Mercure and Ibis Brisbane.

Grant Parnell has swapped with Mark Wilkinson taking over the role of General Manager, Mercure and Ibis Brisbane. Grant joined AccorHotels in 1998 and held a number of Sales Management roles prior to his first General Manager appointment at the Mercure St Leonard’s in July 2006.

In July 2012, Grant was appointed to his most recent role was as General Manager, Pullman and Mercure King George Square Brisbane.

Paul Morton has been appointed General Manager, Pullman Cairns International. Paul commenced with AccorHotels in 2007 and was promoted to General Manager, Ibis Styles Karratha in 2010 before being appointed to the role of General Manager Mercure Launceston in 2011. His most recent role was General Manager, Mercure Cairns Harbourside.

Liz Hunter has been appointed General Manager, Ibis Styles Alice Springs Oasis. Liz joined AccorHotels in October 2010 and held both the Assistant Manager and Front Office Manager positions at the Mercure and Ibis Brisbane. Liz then relocated to Ibis Alice Springs as Assistant Hotel Manager in November 2013.

Richard McArthur has been appointed as General Manager, Mercure Crocodile, Kakadu. Richard joined AccorHotels in October 2009 as Senior Assistant Manager at the Grand Hotel Melbourne before moving on to Mercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens in March 2011 as Front Office Manager.

Richard has held various Rooms Division Leadership roles at the Novotel Melbourne Glen Waverley and the Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park. His most recent role was General Manager at the Ibis Styles Alice Springs Oasis.

Vini Belotti has been appointed General Manager, Ibis Styles Katherine. In 2006, Vini joined AccorHotels in New Zealand and has held various Management Operational roles at the Ibis Styles Port Hedland, Mercure Broome and Mercure Townsville. Vini has been the Interim Manager at the Ibis Styles Katherine since May 2015.

Adriette Meyer has been appointed as Property Manager, Cairns Harbour Lights. Adriette joined AccorHotels in 2008 and held a number of Rooms Division Leadership roles before being selected as a graduate of the AccorHotels Executive Leadership Program in 2013.

Adriette successfully completed her program and has recently been interim Property Manager at the Cairns Harbour Lights Hotel.

Amay Acharya has been appointed General Manager, Ibis Styles Geraldton. Amay first joined the AccorHotels network in 2004 at the New Zealand Novotel Gardens Lakeside where he held a number of roles including Rooms Division Manager & Food and Beverage Manager, Reservations/Assistant Manager and Trainee Yield Manager.

Amay’s most recent role was Operations Manager to Peppers Bluewater Resort & Mantra Lake and will now be returning to AccorHotels in Australia.
