Who wants to be a millionaire?

From the people that brought you confused Owen Wilson wandering around a cruise ship comes the chance to win a million dollars.

P&O Cruises has announced it will give four of its guests the chance to play (not with Eddie, sadly) to win $1 million each.

In one heck of a celebration of its four million passenger milestone, the cruise line will also give away $4 million in onboard credits for new bookings over the coming weeks.

Talk about having money to burn!

The promotion is the biggest ever undertaken by P&O and reflects the surging demand for cruise holidays in both Australia and New Zealand, with the cruise line passing the four million passenger mark just four years after celebrating its three millionth passenger.

Kicking off today, the $4 million promotion is open to Aussie and Kiwi travellers who book on any P&O cruise before November 25, the day the cruise line will officially welcome its latest ships, Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden, into its fleet as part of a Five Ship Spectacular on Sydney Harbour.

Travellers will receive an onboard credit of up to $800 per room with their booking and also go into the draw for a chance to win one of four places on a four-night P&O cruise to Moreton Island, sailing from Sydney on December 9, 2015.

Onboard that cruise, the four finalists will play a thrilling numbers game in front of fellow guests, which will give each of them a shot at becoming an instant millionaire. Should have you feeling a bit like this:

P&O Cruises’ senior vice president Sture Myrmell said the cruise line wanted to thank its loyal guests for their part in helping the cruise line reach its four million passenger milestone.

“We’re very excited about our four million passenger achievement as well as what lies ahead so we wanted to celebrate with our biggest ever promotion – and giving our guests the chance to become a cruise millionaire,” Myrmell said.
