The best spas in the world

The best spas in the world

At Travel Weekly, we love a good awards ceremony.

But if there’s one thing we love more, it’s adding all the wicked winners to our never ending bucket list, and trust us, it’s a big list.

So when we heard about the inaugural World Spa Awards, we could barely contain our excitement, imagining all the relaxing and rejuvenating treatments we could indulge ourselves with.

World Spa Awards managing director Gina Reynolds said, “What a fantastic evening and congratulations to all our winners.

“Each and every one of you truly deserve the recognition you have received from our voters around the world.“With such a wonderful inauguration, the World Spa Awards will return next year, bigger and better than ever.”

The event was launched by the World Travel Awards, currently celebrating its 22nd anniversary, which already successfully runs the World Ski Awards and the World Golf Awards.

World Spa Awards was developed in reaction to overwhelming demand from the spa industry for a programme that was fair and transparent; a programme with a mission to serve as the definitive benchmark of excellence, and to help foster a new era of growth in spa tourism.

We won’t keep you in suspense any longer –  here are your winners, crowns and all:
