What’s up, doc? Warner Bros. enhances tour

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood has just announced a major expansion to its popular tour.

Slated for July 16 2015, the revamped tour will feature a new segment called ‘Stage 48: Script to Screen’, designed to provide insight into the full film and television production process – from the earliest scripts and casting sessions to the final touches in post-production and the glory of awards season.

“These new enhancements will allow our guests to go even further behind-the-scenes of the production world and enjoy an insider’s view of Hollywood in a fun, interactive way,” Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood’s executive director Danny Kahn said.

“Stage 48: Script to Screen brings a completely new dimension to the Studio Tour and offers guests an opportunity to see how their favourite movies and TV shows were made – right on the studio lot where so many of them were created.”

Guests will also enjoy Stage 48’s interactive elements, which will give them a chance to re-enact a scene from Friends right on the iconic Central Perk set, design their own Batmobiles and ‘fly’ on Harry’s broomstick via the same green screen technology used in the magic movies.

Specialist guides also join guests on the tour experience, sharing stories and secrets of movie-making in Hollywood.

The visit to the four-storey Prop Department is a definite highlight, featuring one of the largest selections of rare antiquities and modern furniture, rugs, drapery, lighting, and hand props from Hollywood’s golden era, and the Picture Car Vault, which showcases vehicles from all seven Batman movies.
