Air New Zealand reveals new lounge in Sydney

Air New Zealand has today opened its new international network lounge at Sydney Airport.

The lounge’s ultra-modern layout, the fruit of a collaboration with architectural firm Gensler, was influenced by the feedback of high value customers across international markets.

At over 1,500sqm, the lounge is well-equipped to cater to the needs of its diverse clientele. It features a bar where customers can enjoy barista made coffee, wines and cocktails, and a well-stocked kids’ zone for those with children.

Whether travellers are looking to relax and refresh or plug in and get some work done pre-flight, they are sure to find a space that suits them.

In Sydney for today’s opening, Air New Zealand chief sales and commercial officer Cam Wallace said the launch was an important milestone in the airline’s wider programme that will see it open a number of new and refurbished lounges over the next two years.

“We have been investing heavily in enhancing our customer experience. Airports are a key part of the customer journey and 18 months ago we embarked on a $40 million programme to redevelop several of our lounges at some of the busiest ports we fly to,” Wallace said.

“It’s incredibly exciting to showcase the first of these new-look lounges in Sydney today. We look forward to welcoming customers into the space tomorrow and finding out what they think.”

Air New Zealand International Lounge at Sydney Airport is located on level two of the international terminal and opens to eligible customers tomorrow.
