Dubai – more than just a luxury destination?

Dubai Tourism’s stand at ATM 2015 is showing the travel industry fresh, new ways to experience the emirate.

The stand, holding over 100 of the destination’s tourism industry stakeholders, is offering a range of events, places and activities that aim to promote the emirate’s best and most unique features.

This year Dubai Tourism has put an emphasis on culture, the Sheik Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding at the heart of the Dubai Tourism area. The stand is helping to break down barriers between Emirati’s and Tourism through discussion and raising awareness of Dubai’s cultural heritage.

Amongst other showcased works, Dubai Tourism is also holding viewings of 12 small documentaries aiming to promote a unique perspective of the growing nation. The documentaries follow the journeys of the world’s most popular Instagrammers, as they taken on Dubai with a variety of different itineraries.

Dubai Tourism has hosted more than 200 industry buyers across 30 nations, who had never seen Dubai before, most experiencing a three day famil prior to the event, an opportunity for them to experience Dubai themselves.

Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing has said the market gives Dubai Tourism the opportunity to show buyers the many ways visitors can experience Dubai.
