Liverpool supporters could score a trip

The trip of a lifetime to South Australia up for grabs for one lucky Liverpool supporter, if they can answer three questions correctly about the state.

The competition was designed to engage with Liverpool Football Club supporters across the globe, and show them what South Australia has to offer, Tourism Minister Leon Bignell said.

Liverpool FC will play South Australia’s A-League club Adelaide United at the Adelaide Oval on Monday July 20.

The prize includes two flights from anywhere in the world, tickets to the match, five nights’ accommodation and a trip to Kangaroo Island and the Barossa.

“The match is set to sell out, with more than 9,500 tickets sold to fans from interstate and overseas. These visitors will inject more than $10 million into our economy as they spend time in our hotels, restaurants and visit other key attractions in South Australia,” Mr. Bignell said.

This world-class sporting event will attract a global TV audience, which will thrust Adelaide and the Oval into the international sporting spotlight.

Liverpool legend and Ambassador Robbie Fowler will accompany the team on their pre-season tour, and called Adelaide “an amazing part of the world”.
