The Emirates Australian Open Pro-Am competition is in town, with international great Rory McIlroy and Aussie champion Adam Scott just some of the professionals to get amongst the golfing action.

Former cricketer Brian Lara, Emirates and members of the travel trade also teamed up for the hotly anticipated competition, which allowed the amateur golfers to step up to the big league and play with the professionals, including Nick O’Hern, Geoff Ogilvy, Greg Chalmers and Craig Parry.

Kicking off yesterday, and running until November 30, the Emirates Australian Open will host an impressive field of play once again at this year’s venue The Australian Golf Course.

The Emirates Marquee will be propped up to give guests stellar views of the 18th hole, with a German theme to the event, inspired by Emirates’ four German destinations; Frankfurt, Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Munich.

Barry Brown, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President Commercial Operations East played alongside Rory McIlory and Adam Scott while Tim Shepherd, Emirates National Account Manager played alongside Jordan Spieth.
